While oil palm plantation is trying to cut down chemical usage, these guys give no mercy pestering us. If we are not careful, the estate can be in trouble. Hence, we must always do census before making decision in pest management.
Generally, there are two main pest in the estate:
1) leaf eating caterpillar
2) bagworm (they are hungry eater, problematic pest)
Methods that are used in pest control:
1) Trunk injection
2) Frond spraying
I'm not a worm person, yet I manage to take some close shot of these destroyers.
They can get you into wormy situation.
