Turnera subulata - Dark-eyed turnera

Turnera subulata is especially well known in oil palm plantation due to Integrated Pest Management (IPM) policy. They attract beneficial insects particularly wasps who play important role in predating pest such as leaf eating caterpillar. 

This is Turnera hybrid (mixture of yellow and white flower)

This shrub have many branches, bearing flowers throughout the year. The flowers open in the morning and only last for a day. They close at midday but may stay open longer in cloudy cool weather, Now there are new varieties that have extended flowering hours.
