Vernonia elliptica - The Lee Kuan Yew creeper

So... I have this Lee Kuan Yew creeper to cover up the ugly wall.
However, it does not seem to be growing very well.

So why Lee Kuan Yew?
It was actually first put to use in Singapore in the 1960s when then-Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew decided to green and beautify the island republic.
All the unsighly views were cut off by screens of Vernonia elliptica.
This species does not flower in Malaysia and Singapore.

I would love to have my plants like this! Green and healthy.

Good idea to allow it hanging.
